#Driven was a free event that featured a panel discussion about what it takes to build a successful blog and a Luxury Garage Sale trunk show.

#Driven was held at Luther Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis.

The panel discussion was led by Claudia Camargo of Miles And Smiles.

Claudia — who is originally from Colombia and fluent in English, Spanish and Spanglish — started Miles and Smiles 3 years ago after an afternoon of BBQ ribs with her husband and realizing that she had a lot to share with the world. Driven solely by the need to share her story and inspire people around her, Miles and Smiles took wings of its own, developing into the brand that it is today. Still new to the Twin Cities after a year and a half, but trying to make her way through; she founded the Minneapolis Blogger Union to bring together the blogging community to support each other, learn form each other but most importantly to spread the message of "Kindness over competition" in the industry.

Doreen Mokeira Nyamwaya

Doreen is originally from Kenya but she has spent the majority of her life in Minnesota and considers herself Minnesotan too. Her blog Doreenmokeira.com was started on February 1st of 2018 after thinking long about it and not finding enough representation of people like her in this blogging community. She started this platform along with her Instagram as a way to share her passion, connect with people who are different from her and hopefully inspire other black creatives who are a bit nervous to embark on their own creative journey.

Andrea Peña

Wife, Fur Mom, Paralegal by day and Law Student by night. For as long as Andrea could remember, she had always had an interest in Beauty and Fashion but for many years, she never felt confident enough to pursue it. It was only after some life experiences and starting law school that she decided life was too short to be afraid of doing what makes you happy. Even if you didn’t fit the “industry standard”.
