Ticket price included a glass of wine, chair massage, hors d’oeuvres, sweet treats and volunteer activity.
HandsOn Twin Cities, our community's only full-service volunteer center, held our first Galentine’s Day Celebration, a time to come together to support women in our community. We gathered women to focus on the unique challenges that women face — limited access to hygiene products for homeless women, challenging access to maternal and mental health care, domestic violence, and overall personal safety.
Organizations tackling these issues were at the event to share how you can get involved.
We assembled care packages with feminine hygiene products for Union Gospel Mission.
Union Gospel Mission serves those who are homeless, poor and addicted in our community and they spoke to attendees about the unique issues facing Twin Cities women.
All of this important work and conversation was not without fun.
Decadent treats, wine and laughter made this a night to remember. What is Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year!
